Carolers and Christmas Shoppers make for a Happy Holiday.

Ivy has finished her quilt, but Holly is still working on hers.

The quilt is constructed separately and attached to the background under
one or both angel hands and along top edge.  For Holly, the little quilt is folded back and a loose thread goes from the quilt to the needle ( made with embroidery floss) in her right hand.
Each angel, as pictured, is appliqued on a sweatshirt.  They can also be used for a quilt block, applique wall hanging, pillow top, etc.

Faith and Mercy are ringing bells of joy. The appliqué mandolin has silver and gold embroidery floss for the strings. Gold metallic cord is used to connect the bells.

This large Christmas wall hanging has two appliqued angels, Hope and Joy singing and playing NOEL on their heavenly horn. Silk ribbon is used to embellish their hair.

Gretchen holds Candy up to put the star on the appliqué tree. Presents sit under the tree. Gretchen's hair is both fabric and embroidery floss. 

Leslie is baking delicious pies for Christmas. Pots and pans decorate the walls and a hanging lantern is highlighted by shadow appliqué. The dog waits for a scrap from the table.  The apples are satin stitch embroidery.

An applique Christmas tree is accented with gold trim, a drum, bear and doll. The tree will fill an 18 x 22 inch block.  Decorations can be made from fabric and gold cord or baby rickrack or embellished with beads and buttons. Embroidery floss is used for the candles.

Christmas carolers gather under a Victorian lamp post to sing. The dog watches the little girl who has long embroidery floss braids. A stovepipe hat and winter muffs complete the picture.

Christmas shoppers talk on the snow covered hill while children pull the sleigh and slide down the hill. Shopping  bags and boxes are filled with gifts. Shadow applique is used for the sky and snow covered hill.
